Well, I finally made it out of the country! I've traveled many places within the U.S., but Vancouver is the first time I've been in a "foreign" country. Though, I have to say a place where everyone speaks English and takes U.S. dollars doesn't seem too foreign. Vancouver is a beautiful city and the starting point of our Alaskan Cruise.
Stanley Park was close to our hotel and made for a nice walk. The totem poles were a highlight.
We soon found the perfect viewing area. Skywalker's Lounge jutted out over the side and provided picture window views of the ocean and scenery. Being up there was like flying and sailing at the same time.

Amazing!! They say that the Alaska Cruise is one of the most breath taking for scenery and majestic views. So glad you had a wonderful time and so glad your dad could see alaska. A dream come true.

You should see my dad with his brothers. Wide grins all around. Must be genetic! I remember my cousin at my wedding trying to explain to everyone that her uncles really were happy, they just never smiled.
Oh, how fun! I especially like the picture of you and curt on the ship there. You are so pretty...and look at all the water out there! so fun!
