Rulan loved flying, his cousins, the Reno air races, his friends, his cats, his siblings, teasing, his parents, Sheree, traveling, Kaylynn, Nascar, fishing, Grandma Nelson, Rush, joking, poker, the Waltons, animals, the Clements, his extended family, cruises, and adventure. As I said in his eulogy: Over the last few years he had many struggles with his health--some brought on by things outside of his control and some of his own choosing. He lost contact with friends and most of his family. However for most of his life he was friendly, generous, and fun to be around. This is how he should be remembered. May he finally be at peace.

| I am standing next to one of Rulan's lifelong friends who drove 10 hours through a snowstorm to attend. We are grateful to all of his other friends who sent flowers and expressed condolences. |
